I have released two CDs for streaming and for purchase on my Bandcamp page: "Cry by the Light of the Moon." (2014) (Stream | Purchase) and "Infinity" (2018) (Stream | Purchase). This past year, I have been recording several singles that are being collected under the title of “A Trip Around the Sun” (Purchase). This is a passion project where I am attempting to release 20 original songs in a year.

I have been told that I embody the essence of an artist. My creative journey transcends boundaries, weaving together music, film, and theater. I was involved in musical theater in high school and in college. My musical journey began with a guitar in hand and a heart full of stories. My songwriting is a tapestry of vulnerability, honesty, and poetic expression.

My love for music traces back to my dad—a trombonist who played in a college dance band. Those nostalgic tunes from his era seeped into my soul, shaping my musical sensibilities. But as any self-respecting kid of the '70s, I also grooved to the hits of the day—Earth, Wind & Fire, and the Gang. Singer/songwriters like James Taylor, Carole King, Billy Joel, Elton John, Sting and the Eagles became the part of the soundtrack of my youth and the songs that I write.

Yet, my musical odyssey took an unexpected turn. As a child, I stumbled upon old radio shows from the '40s and '50s—the “Theater of the Mind.” One fateful morning, my alarm clock accidentally tuned in to a radio station. There, I discovered the timeless voices of Sinatra, Tormé, Goodman, and Bird. From that moment, I was hooked—my musical tastes expanded, embracing every style and genre. Because of that, these amazing songs whisper in my ear.

Because of this, my musical style defies labels. I invoke the spirit of the jazz crooner, infusing each note with emotion, yet at the same time, my songwriting draws from the great story tellers of music. A song is more than poetry set to music. Music is what happens when you’re so full of emotion that mere words cannot express how you feel. Through my words, I hope to evoke emotions, spark memories, and connect souls. I love to tell stories as both a songwriter and a screenwriter. Steve’s musical curiosity knows no bounds. He embraces various styles, from country/western to blues. His willingness to explore different genres enriches his artistic expression. Whether he’s strumming a guitar, playing the piano, or experimenting with orchestration, Steve’s versatility shines through.

So, whether I’m strumming a guitar, or belting out a ballad, or experimenting with the fusion of my influences, know that my melodies are woven with purpose. They’re my way of reaching out, across genres and eras, to touch your heart.
